The Sikh Research Institute (SikhRI) connects people with the wisdom of Sikhi through accessible educational resources and experiences. We aim to inspire a deeper understanding and appreciation of Sikh heritage, principles, and practices, fostering critical thinking and strengthening the global Sikh community. Our work includes developing curricula, hosting leadership programs, undertaking research, facilitating workshops, and making the Guru Granth Sahib more accessible globally.

Role Overview:

SikhRI seeks an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead and strengthen global HR practices for its international workforce of 50+ across 4 countries. The role will work closely with leadership to implement standardized, scalable, and legally compliant HR processes across regions, covering the full employee lifecycle for all categories, including full time, part-time, contractors, volunteers, advisors, and board members. As an individual contributor, the HR Manager will drive workforce planning, engagement,



and cross-functional execution while ensuring alignment with SikhRI’s values. This position reports directly to the Operations Director and requires working across multiple time zones and cultures.

Key Responsibilities

1. Onboarding & Offboarding
- Conduct employee orientation aligned with organizational values and management practices
- Improve and implement an effective onboarding process to ensure smooth employee activation and integration
- Improve and implement structured offboarding processes to support smooth employee transitions and knowledge transfer
- Create, monitor, and report on requisition process (include job description, business case, 90-day deliverables, references, hiring team, risks, internal controls)

2. Policies & Guidelines
- Revise and develop HR policies, guidelines, and Standard Operating Procedures
- Revise & develop country-specific Employee Handbooks
- Standardize country-specific HR letter templates (e.g., offer letter,
