About the Role Egnoto is looking for an experienced WordPress Developer with solid hands-on experience in developing, customizing and maintaining complex WordPress websites and applications. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, WordPress themes, plugins, APIs and WooCommerce . Key Responsibilities Develop, customize and maintain complex WordPress websites and applications . Develop and modify custom WordPress and WooCommerce themes and plugins . Develop new backend features and custom WordPress functionalities. Integrate and customize third-party and WordPress plugins. Facilitate connections between databases and WordPress components . Develop and integrate REST APIs and third-party APIs . Manage WordPress backend,



database and server integrations. Troubleshoot website issues and monitor the performance of live websites. Optimize websites for performance, scalability and security . Work closely with stakeholders to understand website requirements, design and functionality. Independently manage website development projects from requirement to deployment. Ensure websites are responsive, user-friendly and optimized for performance. Use debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools/Inspector to identify and resolve issues. Follow proper Git workflows and version control practices . Work with CI/CD processes for efficient development and deployment. Develop and maintain custom functionality using PHP, JavaScript/jQuery and WordPress APIs . Use WP-REST API and WP-CLI for development and website management.
