We are seeking an experienced individual to lead the accounts team at Niyo. The person will play a pivotal role in overseeing the company's accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, managing month-end processes, conducting audits & Due Diligence , and implementing robust cost & Internal controls. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in financial management, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in implementing effective accounting processes in the fintech industry.
Key Responsibilities:
● Financial Leadership: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the accounting team, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting
● Month-End Processes: Oversee month-end close processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation. Ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial data.
● Audit Management: Coordinate and manage internal and external audits, collaborating closely with auditors, providing necessary documentation,
and ensuring compliance with auditing standards and regulations.
● Cost Controls: Develop and implement effective cost control measures, analyzing financial data to identify areas for cost reduction and operational efficiency. Provide
recommendations to senior management.
● Compliance and Regulations: Stay abreast of accounting regulations, standards, and best practices. Ensure the company's accounting practices comply with relevant laws
and regulations.
● Process Optimization: Continuously assess and optimize accounting processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity. Implement best practices
and automation where applicable.
● Financial Analysis: Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support decision-making processes, identify financial trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
