The Splunk Engineer is responsible for the design, implementation, and operation of Splunk-based monitoring and analytics solutions. The role focuses on ensuring reliable data ingestion, developing dashboards and alerts, optimizing search performance, and supporting incident response. The engineer collaborates with operations, cloud, and development teams to enhance observability, ensure data quality, and enable actionable insights across the organization
Key skills for Splunk specialists include experience in Splunk operations and technical expertise in data modeling and integration, good knowledge of database systems and an ability to troubleshoot services and complex solutions.

Accountabilities:
- Install, configure and update splunk software components such as Search Heads, Indexers, Forwarders etc.
- Second level support and troubleshooting of issues related to the daily business in splunk operations
- Awareness of updates in the product/service specification
Education and experience:
General education and experience
- University degree in Computer Sciences, IT or related technical/engineering field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Splunk technologies and related modules
- Deep know-how in service metrics, logging, observability and deriving projects from it
- Good know-how in networking infrastructure (on premise and cloud), databases, data centers and web technologies
- Knowledge in Agile/SAFe ways of working and facilitating tools like Jira
- Experience in troubleshooting
- Experience in MS Office programs
- Preferably Telecommunications and/or Payment industry experience
- Preferably experience with working across different cultures
- Preferably software development experience
- Preferably ITIL foundation certification
- Preferably ServiceNow administration/integra
