Position Summary
The Senior Team Leader is responsible for leading a multidisciplinary team of engineers delivering centrifugal and reciprocating compressor projects across the full project lifecycle, from order intake through design, execution, validation, and customer delivery. The role combines technical leadership, project execution excellence, people development, and strategic business alignment to ensure protected, high-quality, and on-time delivery of engineering solutions supporting Baker Hughes' energy and industrial customers.
The position plays a critical role in driving operational excellence, engineering productivity, digital transformation, and innovation while building a high-performing engineering organization in Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

Engineering & Project Execution
- Lead execution of compressor engineering projects, ensuring adherence to quality, schedule, cost, and customer requirements.
- Drive engineering deliverables across aero, mechanical,



rotor dynamics, packaging, systems integration, and manufacturing interfaces.
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, customer specifications, and Baker Hughes engineering processes.
- Provide technical oversight for complex compressor applications, root cause analysis, and engineering problem resolution.
- Support risk assessment, technical reviews, design validation, and lessons learned implementation.

Leadership & People Development
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of engineers, technical specialists, and project leads.
- Build technical capability through mentoring, succession planning, and competency development.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Conduct performance reviews, talent assessments, and development planning.
- Promote psychological safety and employee engagement within the team.
