Bristlecone India Limited seeks a seasoned SAP ABAP Specialist to join its S/4HANA Technical – Delivery team. The role involves end-to-end development, enhancement, integration, and support of SAP applications, translating business needs into robust technical solutions while ensuring high performance and compliance.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and test ABAP objects (reports, interfaces, BAPIs, enhancements) in the S/4HANA environment.
- Perform code reviews and optimize existing ABAP code for performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
- Implement data migration and integration using IDocs, BDC, ALE, and OData services.
- Support SAP S/4HANA upgrades and apply OSS notes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents and provide root‑cause analysis.
- Create technical documentation and maintain development standards.
- Participate in agile delivery cycles and sprint planning.
- Mentor junior developers and share best practices.
- Ensure adherence to security and compliance guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of hands‑on ABAP development experience.
- Strong knowledge of SAP S/4HANA architecture and ABAP on HANA.
- Proficiency in ABAP OO, BAPI, BADI, Enhancement Framework, and Web Dynpro.
- Experience with SAP integration technologies (IDoc, ALE, OData, SOAP/REST).
- Familiarity with SAP Fiori/UI5 is a plus.
- Ability to write efficient SQL and use CDS views.
- Positive analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Willingness to travel onsite as required.
