Position: Head of Department – English

Department: English

Location: EuroSchool Thane(ICSE)

Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the English Department across secondary and senior secondary sections.
Plan, implement and monitor the English curriculum in line with ICSE/ISC academic requirements.
Mentor, guide and support English teachers to enhance teaching and learning practices.

Eligibility & Experience:
Postgraduate degree in English / English Literature / English Language.
B.Ed. in English is preferred.
6+ years of relevant teaching experience, preferably in an ICSE/ISC school.
Prior experience in a leadership or HOD role will be an advantage.
Solid communication, leadership, mentoring and organisational skills.
Candidates based in Thane City would be preferred.




Monitor lesson planning, classroom observations, assessments and academic progress.
Ensure effective implementation of curriculum, assessments and academic timelines.
Analyse student performance and implement appropriate academic interventions.
Conduct department meetings, coordinate academic activities and maintain departmental records.
Support teachers in adopting cutting-edge and child-centric teaching methodologies.
Coordinate with the Principal, Vice Principal and academic team on departmental requirements.
Contribute to co-curricular activities, literary events and other school initiatives.

Job Type: Full time Pay: From ₹39,000.00 per month
