Key Responsibilities
Drive the assessment, design, and implementation of new Thought Machine capabilities aligned to strategic business or technical outcomes and platform objectives.
Define and maintain the architectural roadmap for the Vault platform, ensuring alignment with business strategy, enterprise standards, and future technology direction.
Provide technical leadership across engineering, product, and supplier teams to drive platform modernisation, innovation, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience
Solid architecture experience across cloud, infrastructure, platform engineering, and enterprise integration.
Proven ability to translate business objectives into strategic technology solutions and roadmaps.
Strong understanding of distributed systems, scalability, resilience, and high-availability design patterns.




Solid working knowledge of Kubernetes platforms, preferably GKE, and service mesh technologies such as Istio.
Strong working knowledge of Kafka and event-driven architectures, including scalability, resilience, disaster recovery, and integration patterns.
Strong working knowledge of database technologies and highly available data platforms (AlloyDB experience desirable).
Experience influencing architecture decisions across multiple engineering teams and stakeholders.

Valuable to Have
Banking or core banking platform experience.
Experience with Thought Machine Vault.
Experience working with strategic technology suppliers and influencing product roadmaps.
Experience defining platform strategies, target-state architectures, and technology adoption roadmaps.
Knowledge of cloud-native observability, SRE practices, and operational resilience frameworks.
