Job Purpose:

To design and develop micro turbojet engines through engine-cycle analysis, turbomachinery design, CAD development & design validation.

Key Responsibilities:
Define micro turbojet engine design requirements and performance targets.
Perform thermodynamic cycle analysis and engine sizing.
Develop engine performance models for design and off-design conditions.
Design and analyse compressor systems, combustor systems & turbine systems.
Design exhaust nozzle and evaluate engine thrust performance.
Design shaft, bearing, casing and major engine interfaces.
Develop complete 3D CAD models and engine assemblies.
Evaluate engine mass flow, pressure ratio, temperature, thrust, fuel flow and efficiency.
Identify design improvements and execute design iterations.  Prepare engineering drawings, specifications, calculation sheets and technical reports.
Support design verification and validation activities.
Maintain engineering design data, calculations and revision documentation.

CATIA / Siemens NX / SolidWorks / Creo etc…
MATLAB
MS Excel for engineering calculations and data analysis

Engine requirements and design basis
Thermodynamic cycle model
Preliminary engine sizing
Design of Compressor design, Combustor design, Turbine design, Nozzle design, Shaft and rotor design
Full 3D CAD engine assembly with Design Parameters

Required Competencies :
Solid understanding of gas-turbine engine & understanding of turbomachinery design
Solid thermodynamics and fluid mechanics fundamentals
Ability to perform engineering calculations independently & CAD modelling capability
Engineering problem-solving and design optimization
Technical report preparation and presentation& Ability to work through complete design-development cycles
