MIS Roles & Responsibilities
Data Management
Collect, verify, and maintain data from various departments.
Ensure data accuracy, completeness, and timely updates.
Maintain proper records and databases.
MIS Reports
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports.
Generate management reports as per business requirements.
Share reports with concerned departments and management within deadlines.
Data Analysis
Analyze operational and business data.
Identify discrepancies, trends, and variances.
Provide meaningful insights to management for decision-making.
Dashboard & Tracker Management
Create and maintain Excel/Power BI dashboards and trackers.
Update performance, productivity, billing, attendance, project, and other relevant dashboards.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
Coordination
Coordinate with Project, Billing, Accounts, HR, and other departments for data collection.
Follow up with respective teams for pending or incorrect information.
Ensure timely submission of required data.
Data Accuracy & Quality
Cross-check data before preparing reports.




Identify and rectify errors or mismatches.
Maintain confidentiality and security of company data.
Documentation
Maintain proper records of reports, trackers, and supporting documents.
Maintain historical data for future reference and analysis.
Management Support
Provide ad-hoc reports and data whenever required by management.
Support management with data-driven analysis and presentations.
Highlight key issues, delays, and deviations to the concerned team.
Process Improvement
Identify opportunities to automate and simplify reporting processes.
Reduce manual work through Excel formulas, Power Query, Power BI, or other suitable tools.
Continuously improve the accuracy and efficiency of MIS reporting.
Compliance & Confidentiality
Maintain confidentiality of sensitive business and employee information.
Ensure reports are circulated only to authorized personnel.
Follow company policies and reporting procedures.
