DevTest / Quality Engineer

Build automated quality systems for a distributed platform that can reason about and execute operational actions.

This is an engineering role, not a manual-testing role.

Responsibilities
Build functional, integration, regression, contract, and end-to-end automation.
Develop test harnesses for multi-service workflows.
Build mocks and simulators for external systems.
Generate synthetic incident and failure scenarios.
Test connector and service behavior under dependency, permission, network, and data failures.
Validate approval and execution boundaries.
Build regression tests from production defects.
Integrate automated quality gates into CI/CD.
Work with AI engineers on evaluation of non-deterministic workflows.

Mandatory technical skills and experience
5+ years software test automation, quality engineering, or software engineering with substantial testing ownership.




Robust programming ability in Python, Java, TypeScript, or equivalent.
Hands-on experience with:
API test automation
integration testing
test harness development
mocking and stubbing
service virtualization
synthetic test data
Docker
CI/CD integration
SQL
logs and traces
Working Kubernetes knowledge sufficient to inspect pods, services, logs, events, and configuration.
Experience testing distributed backend systems.
Has built and maintained an automated regression framework.

Preferred
LLM/agent evaluation.
Fault injection or chaos testing.
Kubernetes-heavy platforms.
Observability systems.
Contract testing.
Security-focused testing.
