Role & responsibilities
Manage the procurement commodities globally.
Handle the Procurement function for all commodities such as Transmission, Fabricated sheet metal Ferrous & nonferrous casting, forging, Machined & heat-treated parts, and Packaging for India.
Develop sourcing & Procurement strategies and manage all commercial aspects of the supplier relationships including Negotiation, Request for quote and administration.
Coordinate global programmers with all departments as needed, Purchasing, Operations, Accts Payable
Inventory personnel. (Ex Vendor managed inventory, Min max level, supplier qualification.
Monitor supplier performance to schedule, supplier evaluations through quality roadmap.
Interact with functional team members during all phases of procurement phases including review, analysis, evaluation, and implementation.




Identify current source of supply through the collection and intelligence of market research & sourcing Current Product/Programs in line with agreed milestones.
Initial assessment of suppliers and categorization based on Capability, Capacity, and Feasibility & customers reputation etc.

Preferred candidate profile
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
5 years of experience in Domestic & global sourcing of Forgings, Machined, Casting, , Heavy Fabricated Assembly Products, Sheet Metal parts, Rubber, Rubber chemicals ,Fabric etc.
Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced workplace and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Solid problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
