Business Development Lead – Government & Enterprise (Consultative / Concept Selling)
Experience: 8–17+ years (indicative) |Reports to: Founders | Function: Business Development / Strategic Sales |Type: Full-time
Level: Individual Contributor (IC), evolving into a closing role with founders
About the Role
We're looking for a Business Development qualified who can open doors at the highest levels of government and large enterprises, and translate those relationships into strategic deals. This is fundamentally a consultative, concept-and-strategy-selling role — the person needs to sell ideas, frameworks, and points of view, and build trust with ministries, senior bureaucrats, and enterprise leadership, well before any commercial conversation happens.
This is an individual contributor role to start — the person will personally drive relationships and pipeline — with a close, hands-on working relationship with the founders as deals mature toward closure.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and manage relationships with ministries, government departments,
and senior public-sector officials
- Identify, engage, and develop enterprise segment accounts as a parallel pipeline
- Sell concepts, frameworks, and strategic points of view rather than pitching a fixed, pre-packaged product
- Navigate long, multi-stakeholder government and enterprise sales cycles with patience and structure
- Work closely with founders to shape deal strategy and bring senior conversations to closure
- Translate high-level relationships into structured opportunities, proposals, and eventually signed engagements
- Act as the face of the organization in rooms with secretaries, senior officials, and CXOs
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in consultative / concept selling — someone who has sold ideas, frameworks, or strategic recommendations, not just products or services off a price list
- Background from a consulting firm (strategy, management, or policy consulting) is strongly preferred, sin
