Engagement Of Specialist Cadre Officers On Contract Basis

Online Registration Of Application & Payment Of Fees: From 30.09.2026 TO 21.10.2026
State Bank of India invites online applications from eligible Indian citizens for appointment to the Specialist Cadre Officers Posts on Contract Basis, for Wealth Management & Premier Banking Department. Candidates are requested to apply online through the link given on Banks official website https://sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings
1. The process of Registration is complete only when fee is deposited with the Bank through online mode on or before the last date for payment of fee / last date of online registrations.
2. Before applying, candidates are requested to ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for the Post(s) as on the date of eligibility.
3. Candidates are required to upload all relevant documents including their resume, ID proof, age proof, Caste certificate, PwBD Certificate (if applicable), educational qualifications certifications, experience details, Biodata etc., failing which their application/candidature will not be considered for shortlisting/ interview.
4. The process of Short-listing will be provisional and without verification of original documents. Candidature will be subject to verification of all details/ documents with the original when a candidate reports for interview (if called).
5. In case a candidate is called for interview and is found not satisfying the eligibility criteria (Age, Educational Qualification and Experience etc.) he/ she will neither be allowed to appear for the interview nor be entitled for reimbursement of any travelling expenses.
6. Candidates are advised to check Banks official website https://sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings on regular basis for details and updates (including the list of shortlisted/ selected candidates). The Call (letter/ advice), where required, will be sent by e-mail only (NO HARD COPY WILL BE SENT).
7. ALL REVISIONS/ CORRIGENDUM (IF ANY) WILL BE HOSTED ON THE BANKS WEBSITE ONLY.
8. In case more than one candidate scores same marks as cut-off marks in the final merit list (common marks at cut-off point), such candidates will be ranked in the merit according to their age in descending order.
9. Hard copy of application & other documents need not to be sent to this office.
10. TEACHING & TRAINING EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE COUNTED FOR ELIGIBILITY.
11. CANDIDATES CAN APPLY FOR MORE THAN ONE POST IF OTHERWISE FULFILLS ALL ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR THE POST(s).
12. Mere fulfilment of the eligibility criteria (i.e. minimum required qualifications and experiences) shall not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. The shortlisting committee constituted by the Bank will decide the shortlisting parameters and thereafter, adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank, will be shortlisted and called for interview. The decision of the Bank to call the candidates for the interview shall be final. no correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
13. Candidates against whom there is / are adverse report(s) regarding character & antecedents, moral turpitude etc. are not eligible to apply for the post. If any such adverse orders / reports against the shortlisted/ selected candidates are found/ received by the Bank post their selection, their candidature/ service will be rejected forthwith.
14. At the time of interview, the candidate will be required to provide details regarding criminal case(s) pending against him/ her, if any. The Bank may also conduct independent verification, inter alia, including verification of police records etc. The Bank reserves the right to deny engagement depending upon such disclosures and/or independent verification.
15. Candidates furnishing false information / suppressing the facts will be disqualified and shall be liable for debarment and legal/criminal action. Candidates who attempt fraud/impersonation shall be liable to be debarred from future recruitment process conducted by the Bank.
16. Candidates serving in Govt./ Quasi Govt. offices, Public Sector undertakings including Nationalized Banks and Financial Institutions and SBI Group companies are advised to submit No Objection Certificate from their employer at the time of interview, failing which their candidature may not be considered and travelling expenses, if any, otherwise admissible, will not be paid.
17. Variable Pay /Performance Linked Pay (PLP)** - Eligible for Performance Linked Pay and Annual Increment based on the performance rating measured as per Banks Policy.
Contract Period $ - 5 Years (Renewable another 4 years at the discretion of the Bank subject to fulfilment of any such conditions as may be stipulated by the Bank)
$ The contract period is 5 Years. The contract can be terminated at any time, without prejudice, by giving two (2) months notice from either side or on payment/surrender of two (2) months' compensation amount in lieu thereof.

Essential Experience:
- Minimum 15 Years of experience in managing sales team in Wealth Management / Retail Banking / AMCs.
- Out of which minimum 8 years of experience in leading a large team of Relationship Managers and Team Leads preferably in Wealth Management Firms or Asset Management Companies (AMCs).
- (The Candidates who are working in SBI Group companies will have to produce No objection certificate (NOC) from their employer while applying for any post).
Specific skills required if any
Preferred Experience:
- Should have managed large Management Team.
- Excellent knowledge of equity products, PMS, AIF, Mutual Funds and Advisory.
- Should have exposure to CRM
- Proven track record of high performance and leadership
- Should have relevant work experience at a national level with large Wealth Management organisations
- Should have managed a large team of relationship managers & Team Leads at a national level (these skills will be tested at the time of interview).
Job Profile (Detail description of Role, Responsibilities and Functions)
- Defining and implementing marketing strategies for Wealth Management in line with corporate vision.
- To ensure that sales and service levels fixed for RMs are met.
- Designing, implementing and monitoring the sales and services for Wealth RMs/VP/AVP.
- Conducting individual and joint performance reviews with Circle functionaries.
- Performance measurement of RMs, coaching and mentoring the RMs and Acquisition Teams.
- Achieving desired customer satisfaction levels and ability to retain existing portfolio of the customers and achieve targeted growth.
- Liaison with other Departments and Outside Agencies to have Best in Class Technology driven Solutions.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) for the Post
Sales
- Achieve the sales target for the Wealth Management Business.
- Managing the Zonal Heads and Regional Heads ensuring achievement of budgets by their RM Teams
Compliance
- Ensuring compliance of guidelines, systems & procedures are followed by the Relationship Managers team.
- Ensure all customer instructions are executed on the same day
- Ensure the teams have necessary certification to comply with SEBI/IRDA instruction.
Training and Development
- Ensure all Sales teams are properly trained and arrange for Investment seminars to spread financial awareness
- Arranging Customer Meets and launching Campaigns
- Ensuring Customer Satisfaction
Knowledge sharing
- Arranging investment session/ meeting
Any other matter, as may be entrusted by the Bank from time to time.
Leave: The proposed Officers engaged on Contract (OECs) shall be entitled to leave of 30 days during the financial year, which will be granted by Bank for genuine and appropriate reasons.
Notice Period: The contract can be terminated without assigning any reason by giving 2 months notice from either side or by payment/surrender of 2 months compensation amount in lieu thereof.
Selection Process: The selection process will comprise shortlisting of the candidate followed by one or more rounds of personal / Video interview and CTC negotiations.
Shortlisting: Mere fulfilling minimum qualification and experience will not vest any right in candidate for being called for interview. The shortlisting committee constituted by the Bank will decide the shortlisting parameters and thereafter, adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank, will be shortlisted for interview. The decision of the Bank to call the candidates for the interview shall be final. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview.
Call Letter For Interview: Iintimation/call letter for interview will be sent by email or will be uploaded on Bank's website. No hard copy will be sent.
Interview: interview will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks in interview will be decided by Bank. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
CTC Negotiation: The Bank may negotiate the Cost to Company (CTC) with the shortlisted/ provisionally qualified candidates, as may be applicable, through either of the following modes:
(a) At the time of the Interview: CTC negotiation may be conducted individually with the candidate during the Interview; (Either one-by-one at the time of Interview OR after completion of interview process on the same date)
(b) CTC negotiation subsequent to the interview: CTC negotiation may be conducted separately, either on the same day after completion of the Interview process or on a subsequent date, as may be decided by the Bank.
Where CTC negotiation is conducted separately, candidates shall be called for negotiation in the order of merit. In the event that a provisionally selected candidate does not agree to the CTC offered by the Bank, such candidate shall be treated as having voluntarily Exit from the recruitment process, and the next candidate in the order of merit may be considered for CTC negotiation, subject to fulfilment of the prescribed eligibility and other applicable conditions. The Bank reserves the right to decide the mode, date and procedure for CTC negotiation.
Merit list: Merit list for selection will be prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained in interview only. In case more than one candidate scores the cut-off marks (common marks at cut-off point), such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order, in the merit list.
How To Apply: Candidates should have valid email ID which should be kept active till the declaration of result. It will help him/her in getting call letter/Interview advice etc. by email.
Guidelines For Filling Online Application
i. Candidates will be required to register themselves online through the link available on SBI website https://sbi.bank.in/web/careers/current-openings and pay the application fee using Internet Banking/ Debit Card/ Credit Card etc.
ii. Candidates should first scan their latest photograph and signature. Online application will not be registered unless candidate uploads his/ her photo and signature as specified on the online registration page (under How to Upload Document).
iii. Candidates should fill in the application carefully. Once application is filled in completely,
candidate should submit the same. In the event of candidate not being able to fill in the application in one go, he can save the information already entered. When the information/ application is saved, a provisional registration number and password are generated by the system and displayed on the screen. Candidate should note down the registration number and password. They can re-open the saved application using registration number and password and edit the particulars, if needed. This facility for editing the saved information will be available three times only. Once the application is filled in completely, candidate should submit the same and proceed for online payment of fee.
iv. After registering online, the candidates are advised to take a printout of the system generated online application forms.
Guidelines For Payment Of Fees
i. Application fees and Intimation Charges (Non-refundable) is 750/- (Seven Hundred Fifty only) for UR/EWS/OBC candidates and no fees/intimation charges for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates.
ii. After ensuring correctness of the particulars in the application form, candidates are required to pay the fees through payment gateway integrated with the application. No change/ editing in the application will be allowed thereafter.
iii. Fee payment will have to be made online through payment gateway available thereat. The payment can be made by using Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Internet Banking etc. by providing information as asked on the screen. Transaction charges for online payment, if any, will be borne by the candidates.
iv. On successful completion of the transaction, e-receipt and application form, bearing the date of submission by the candidate, will be generated which should be printed and retained by the candidate.
v. If the online payment of fee is not successfully completed in first instance, please make fresh attempts to make online payment.
vi. A provision is there to reprint the e-Receipt and Application form containing fee details, at later stage.
vii. Application Fee once paid will NOT be refunded on any account NOR can it be adjusted for any other examination or selection in future.
General Information:
I. Before applying for the post, the applicant should ensure that he/ she fulfils the eligibility and other norms mentioned above for that post as on the specified date and that the particulars furnished by him/ her are correct in all respects.
II. Candidates belonging to reserved category, including, for whom no reservation has been mentioned, are free to apply for vacancies announced for UR category provided they must fulfil all the eligibility conditions applicable to UR category.
III. IV. The applicant should ensure that the application is strictly in accordance with the prescribed format and is properly filled.
V. Engagement of selected candidate is subject to his/ her being declared medically fit as per the requirement of the Bank. Such engagement will also be subject to the service and conduct rules of the Bank for such post in the Bank, in force at the time of joining the Bank.

XI. DECISION OF BANK IN ALL MATTERS REGARDING ELIGIBILITY, CONDUCT OF INTERVIEW, OTHER TESTS AND SELECTION WOULD BE FINAL AND BINDING ON ALL CANDIDATES. NO REPRESENTATION OR CORRESPONDENCE WILL BE ENTERTAINED BY THE BANK IN THIS REGARD.
XII. The applicant shall be liable for civil/ criminal consequences in case the information submitted in his/ her application are found to be false at a later stage.
XIII. Merely satisfying the eligibility norms does not entitle a candidate to be called for interview. Bank reserves the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for the interview after preliminary screening/ short-listing with reference to candidates qualification, suitability, experience etc.
XIV. In case of multiple applications, only the last valid (completed) application will be retained, the application fee/ intimation charge paid for other registration will stand forfeited.
XVI. Any legal proceedings in respect of any matter of claim or dispute arising out of this advertisement and/ or an application in response thereto can be instituted only in Mumbai and Courts/ Tribunals/ Forums at Mumbai only have sole and exclusive jurisdiction to try any cause/ dispute.
XVI. Outstation candidates, who may be called for interview after short-listing will be reimbursed the cost of travelling fare (Eligibility will be mentioned in the Call letter) for the shortest route in India OR the actual travel cost in India (whichever is lower) on the basis of actual journey. Local conveyance like taxi/cab/personal vehicle expenses/fares will not be payable. A candidate, if found ineligible for the post will not be permitted to appear for the interview and will not be reimbursed by any fare.
XVII. Bank reserves the Right to cancel the recruitment process entirely or for any particular post at any stage without specifying any reasons thereof.
