Role & responsibilities

- Manage and monitor daily CNC production activities.
- Ensure achievement of daily, monthly and shift-wise production targets.
- Plan production based on machine capacity, manpower, material availability and delivery requirements.
- Handle CNC Turning, VMC and HMC machining operations.
- Monitor machine utilization, productivity, OEE and cycle time.
- Understand, read and edit CNC programs, G-Code and M-Code.
- Manage tool offsets, work offsets, tool selection and tool life.
- Optimize machining parameters and cycle time for productivity improvement.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensions, tolerances and GD&T;.
- Troubleshoot CNC machine and machining process-related problems.
- Monitor and reduce rejection, rework and machine downtime.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, PPC and Tool Room departments.
- Manage and allocate production manpower according to machine and production requirements.
- Lead, guide and monitor CNC operators.
- Implement 5S, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
- Prepare daily and monthly production reports, rejection reports, downtime reports and efficiency reports.
- Ensure compliance with quality, safety and production SOPs.

Preferred candidate profile

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering / Production Engineering or relevant qualification.




- 810+ years of relevant experience in CNC Production / Machining / Manufacturing.
- CNC knowledge is mandatory.
- Hands-on experience in CNC Turning / VMC / HMC.
- Strong knowledge of CNC Programming, G-Code, M-Code, offsets and tooling.
- Good knowledge of engineering drawings and GD&T;.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments such as Vernier, Micrometer, Bore Gauge and Height Gauge.
- Experience in production planning and target achievement.
- Knowledge of cycle-time reduction, productivity improvement and machine utilization.
- Experience in rejection control, downtime reduction and process improvement.
- Knowledge of Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Kaizen and Lean Manufacturing.
- Robust team-handling and problem-solving skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Production MIS.
