Role & responsibilities
- Deliver and facilitate STEM and Robotics education for students from Classes 69 through practical, interactive, and project-based learning sessions.
- Conduct programming, electronics, and robotics activities using Embedded C, Python, Block Coding, Microcontrollers (Arduino UNO), Microprocessors, Raspberry Pi, sensors, and other STEM/STEAM tools, along with basic woodworking and fabrication.
- Guide students in designing and developing functional prototypes and solutions using robotics, electronics, 3D printing, CNC machines, woodworking, and other lab resources to address real-world challenges.
- Conduct and support student and teacher training programs on Robotics, Coding, VEX Robotics, and other technology-based learning activities.
- Prepare and mentor student teams for national and international competitions, including VEX IQ, FTC (FIRST Tech Challenge), Avishkaar Make-a-Thon, and other relevant events.
- Plan and organize school- and cluster-level robotics competitions, scrimmages, exhibitions, and showcases to provide students with opportunities to demonstrate their skills and innovations.
- Ensure effective utilization, maintenance, and secure handling of STEM lab equipment, tools, components, and other resources.
- Collect case studies, success stories, testimonials, and best-practice documentation highlighting student projects, achievements, and teacher practices.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and databases, including attendance, beneficiary, training, progress, field,
and other program-related data and reports.
- Monitor student participation and learning outcomes, identify implementation challenges, and provide timely technical and on-ground support.
- Contribute to program reviews, evaluation, and continuous improvement by sharing technical insights, field observations, and recommendations.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, tools, and innovative approaches relevant to STEM, Robotics, and experiential learning, and support their application within the program.
Preferred candidate profile
- Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering, Technology, or related field.
- Working knowledge of Arduino, CNC machines, 3D printers, VEX Robotics, sensors, and STEM/STEAM education.
- Proficiency in programming languages and platforms, including Embedded C, Python, and Block Coding.
- Knowledge of mechanical tools, basic fabrication techniques, and woodworking.
- Prior teaching, training, or facilitation experience in STEM, Robotics, or technology-based education will be preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with students, teachers, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to prepare clear and effective reports, presentations, and project documentation.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify real-life problems and develop practical, innovative, and technology-based solutions.
