Role & responsibilities :

- Create 3D CAD models and drawings for the tower, trays, lid mechanism and plumbing manifold.
- Prototype parts using 3D printing (PETG), sheet metal and off-the-shelf components.
- Select and size motors, servos, pumps and valves; do basic load and torque calculations.
- Design for water-tightness, food-protected materials and easy cleaning.
- Prepare parts for moulding/sheet-metal production with vendors (DFM).
- Build and run mechanical tests (leak, drop, hinge life cycles).
- Maintain workshop tools and 3D printers.

- Develop and maintain firmware in C/C++ for ESP32-family microcontrollers.
- Design and review PCBs in KiCad; prepare BOMs and manufacturing files.
- Integrate sensors (humidity, temperature, soil moisture) and actuators (pumps, solenoid valves,



LEDs, motors).
- Implement tier-to-tier communication (ESP-NOW) and hot-plug auto-addressing.
- Build test firmware and jigs for production QC.
- Debug hardware using oscilloscope, logic analyser and multimeter.
- Document designs and maintain code in Git.
