1. Role Overview
Samsung Finance+ (SF+) is Samsung’s flagship digital lending platform enabling millions of consumers to purchase Samsung devices through instant, affordable micro-financing and EMI options.
We are seeking a Technical Integration Manager (6–7 years of experience) to anchor the technical and architectural bridge between Samsung’s R&D; engineering teams (Samsung R&D; Institute India - Bangalore / SRIB), product teams, internal Knox security architects, and Non-Banking Financial Company (NBFC) / Banking partners.
In this role, you will lead end-to-end technical conversations, API/SDK architecture integrations, customer journey orchestration, and rollout of recent financing schemes. You will also take full ownership of Project Charters across all technical deliverables, spearhead frictionless dealer and merchant onboarding processes, drive systemic process efficiencies, and ensure strict compliance with Reserve Bank of India (RBI) .
2. Key Responsibilities A. Technical Integration & Partner Architecture
Act as the primary technical interface between SRIB (Samsung R&D;) and external NBFC/Fintech lending partners (e.g., DMI Finance, Chola, TVS , HDB etc.).
Lead technical discovery, design, and integration for partner APIs, webhooks, and SDKs spanning:
Loan Origination Systems (LOS) & Loan Management Systems (LMS).
e-KYC, Aadhaar/DigiLocker, CKYC, and credit underwriting engines.
Payment gateways (e-NACH, UPI AutoPay, net banking, tokenized payment flows).
Define system architecture, data flow diagrams (DFD), API contracts, payload specifications, and secure mutual TLS (mTLS) authentication standards.
Facilitate sandbox onboarding, end-to-end integration testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment with partner engineering teams.
B. Project Charter & Program Governance
Author, maintain, and govern comprehensive Project Charters for every technical initiative, partner integration, and platform upgrade:
Clearly establish problem statements, scope boundaries, technical deliverables, success criteria, and interdependencies.
Map out work breakdown structures (WBS), milestone timelines, and resource allocation across SRIB, NBFC engineering, and internal business stakeholders.
Define and manage risk registers, technical assumptions, and mitigation strategies.
C. Dealer & Retailer Onboarding Optimization
Architect and streamline the digital dealer/merchant onboarding journey to minimize friction and slash Turnaround Time (TAT):
Digitize and automate retail outlet verification (GSTIN, bank account penny drops, merchant identity checks).
Eliminate manual document collection and verification bottlenecks by introducing automated API validations.
Monitor dealer activation funnels, identify friction points in real time, and implement technical self-service and automated recovery mechanisms.
D. Customer Journey Design & Device Lifecycle Integration
Architect low-friction, high-conversion digital customer journeys on the Dealer app / Customer DIY options
Deeply integrate device-level controls via Knox Guard (KG) with NBFC payment lifecycle events:
Pre-delinquency notifications, payment reminder banners, and dynamic push notifications.
Controlled device-locking upon payment defaults and instant automated unlock triggers upon EMI reconciliation.
Diagnose edge cases in customer journey state machines (e.g., drop-offs, payment gateway timeouts, incomplete e-sign/e-mandates, network disconnects) to ensure automated state self-healing and zero ghost loans.
E. Process Efficiency & Operational Automation
Continually audit technical and operational touchpoints to eliminate process waste, reduce operational dependencies, and automate repetitive workflows:
Implement automated reconciliation pipelines between SRIB logs, partner LMS ledgers, and Knox Guard state databases.
Optimize API latency budgets and implement intelligent retry mechanisms to reduce transaction failure rates.
Establish standardized, reusable integration playbooks and SDKs to accelerate time-to-market for future NBFC partner integrations.
F. RBI Regulatory Compliance & Risk Governance
Ensure every technical workflow, consent artifact, and data pipeline strictly complies with RBI Digital Lending Guidelines (DLG) and DPDP (Digital Personal Data Protection) standards:
Implement explicit,
multi-lingual consent architectures and auditable consent logs.
Implement RBI-compliant device-locking workflows, including fair-practice grievance redressal mechanisms, grace periods, and emergency calling availability.
Enforce data localization and cryptographic storage rules for customer Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and financial records.
Coordinate regulatory audits, third-party vulnerability assessments (VAPT), and certification routines with compliance, risk, and legal teams.
G. Operational SLA & Incident Management
Own partner-facing and system-level Service Level Agreements (SLAs), monitoring API uptime (), loan sanction latencies, and device status synchronization.
Drive structured root cause analyses (RCA) and remediation with SRIB and partner technical teams during production incidents, latency spikes, or synchronization failures.
Build automated telemetry, observability dashboards, and alert triggers across the multi-party transaction pipeline.
3. Candidate Profile & Qualifications Education & Experience
Education: B.Tech / B.E. / M.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics & Communication, or related technical disciplines. (PMP / PRINCE2 or Agile Scrum Master certification is an added advantage).
Years of Experience: 6 to 7 years of solid technical experience in Software Integration, Solutions Architecture, Technical Program Management (TPM), or Partner Engineering within FinTech, NBFCs, Consumer Lending, or Smartphone OEM ecosystems.
Essential Background
Proven experience authoring and managing detailed Project Charters and driving cross-functional governance across R&D;, commercial, and external partner teams.
Hands-on experience optimizing retail, dealer, or merchant onboarding flows, significantly reducing turnaround time (TAT) through automated verification services.
Strong background in process re-engineering, debugging API payloads, reading technical logs, analyzing network traces, and optimizing high-throughput transactional flows.
Demonstrated experience working with offshore/internal R&D; centers (such as SRIB) and translating enterprise product roadmaps into agile technical execution.
Direct exposure to lending regulation compliance, having successfully navigated RBI audits, digital lending mandates, or risk mitigation programs.
