Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced ServiceNow Lead Developer / Architect to join our growing team and take ownership of designing, developing, and delivering enterprise-grade ServiceNow solutions.
This role is ideal for a senior ServiceNow professional who can go beyond hands-on development someone who can think architecturally, challenge design decisions, provide technical leadership, and build scalable solutions across the ServiceNow platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, design, development, and implementation of enterprise ServiceNow solutions.
- Translate business requirements into scalable and maintainable ServiceNow technical solutions.
- Provide technical leadership and guide developers on best practices, architecture, and implementation approaches.
- Design and develop custom applications, workflows, integrations, and platform solutions.
- Review existing ServiceNow implementations and identify opportunities for optimization and modernization.
- Define technical architecture, integration patterns, data models, security considerations, and development standards.
- Lead integration of ServiceNow with enterprise applications using REST, SOAP, and other integration technologies.
- Develop and review ServiceNow scripts using JavaScript, Glide APIs, Business Rules, Script Includes, Client Scripts, UI Policies, and related platform capabilities.
- Work closely with business stakeholders, functional consultants, developers, and technical teams.
- Perform technical design reviews, code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Ensure solutions follow ServiceNow best practices, governance, security, scalability, and upgradeability standards.
- Stay current with ServiceNow platform capabilities, emerging technologies, and AI-driven features such as Now Assist.
Required Technical Skills
- 12+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience.
- Strong understanding of the overall ServiceNow platform and enterprise architecture.
- Proven experience in ServiceNow architecture, application design, and development.
- Strong hands-on experience in at least 2 of the following ServiceNow areas/modules:
- ITSM
- ITOM
- CMDB
- SPM
- Now Assist
- ServiceNow Integrations
- Custom Applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting.
- Solid knowledge of Glide APIs and ServiceNow development frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP integrations and enterprise application integrations.
- Experience designing scalable and reusable ServiceNow solutions.
- Strong understanding of ServiceNow data models, workflows, security, configuration, and customization.
- Experience with technical documentation, solution design, and architecture standards.
Leadership & Architecture Skills

- Think beyond individual development tasks and understand the overall solution architecture.
- Challenge existing technical and design decisions when required.
- Make informed architecture and technology recommendations.
- Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and development teams.
- Mentor and guide ServiceNow developers.
- Identify risks, dependencies, and scalability concerns early.
- Balance business requirements with ServiceNow best practices.
- Build solutions that are secure, scalable, maintainable, and upgrade-friendly.
Preferred Qualifications
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) and/or Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) certifications.
- ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or architecture-related certification is a plus.
- Experience working on large-scale enterprise ServiceNow implementations.
- Experience with ServiceNow upgrades, migrations, platform modernization, or optimization projects.
- Exposure to ServiceNow AI capabilities and Now Assist is an advantage.
