Job Description Summary
The Senior Automation Test Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated test cases for cloud-native applications running on Kubernetes clusters. The role demands expertise in Unix/Linux environments, containerization, and scripting for robust automation solutions. The candidate will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and reliability, making a significant impact on the overall software delivery process.

Must-Have Skills
1. Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux Operating Systems
2. Robust expertise in Kubernetes (K8S) cluster environments
3. Proficiency in Cloud Native technologies, containerization, Docker, and microservices architecture
4. Advanced skills in Robot Framework for automation
5. Proficient in Python and shell scripting
6. Experience in designing, planning, and executing test cases
7. Solid understanding of test automation best practices
8. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Good-to-Have Skills
1. Prior experience working in SAFe and/or Scrum Agile environments
2. Knowledge or experience in EMS/NMS testing, especially focused on Fault Management (FM) and Performance Management (PM)
3. Familiarity with logging frameworks and best practices
4. Exposure to CI/CD tools and automated deployment pipelines
5. Experience in telecom domain testing

Key Responsibilities
1.



Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Robot Framework, Python, and shell
2. Plan, execute, and report on test cases for cloud-native, containerized applications on Kubernetes
3. Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to identify, isolate, and troubleshoot defects
4. Ensure comprehensive test coverage for microservices-based architectures
5. Implement and enhance test automation frameworks and processes
6. Participate in Agile ceremonies, providing testing insights and estimations
7. Analyze test results, identify root causes, and communicate findings to stakeholders
8. Continuously improve testing efficiency and effectiveness in line with industry best practices

Educational Qualification
1. Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or a related field
2. Certifications in Kubernetes, Docker, or relevant automation testing tools (preferred)
