The company deals in a wide range of products including smartphones, iPhones, cameras, smart glasses, laptops, smartwatches, earbuds, headphones and other smart devices.

Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Technical Head to lead the company's technology function and take ownership of its e-commerce platform, software development, technical infrastructure, integrations, cybersecurity, automation and technical team.

The candidate will work closely with management and business teams to understand business requirements and convert them into reliable, scalable and efficient technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Technology Leadership

- Lead and manage the overall technology function.
- Define and execute the technology roadmap in line with business objectives.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Establish technical standards, processes and best practices.
- Ensure technology projects are delivered within timelines and quality standards.
- Identify and resolve critical technical issues.

2. E-Commerce Platform Management

- Take complete technical ownership of the B2B e-commerce platform.
- Ensure website/application availability, performance, security and scalability.
- Oversee technical functionality related to:
- Product catalogue
- Product search
- Pricing
- Customer accounts
- Cart and checkout
- Orders
- Payments
- Inventory
- Returns
- Notifications
- Reports and dashboards

- Monitor system performance, downtime, errors and technical bottlenecks.
- Continuously improve platform performance and user experience.

3. Software Development

- Manage the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Oversee requirement analysis, development, testing, deployment and maintenance.
- Review application architecture and technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews and ensure coding standards.
- Manage bugs, releases and production issues.
- Ensure proper technical documentation.




- Improve application scalability, maintainability and performance.

4. API, ERP & System Integration

- Manage integrations with:
- ERP/accounting systems
- CRM
- Inventory systems
- Payment gateways
- Logistics/courier platforms
- Warehouse systems
- Supplier systems
- SMS/Email/WhatsApp platforms
- Analytics platforms

- Monitor API performance and data synchronization.
- Troubleshoot integration failures.
- Ensure secure and reliable data exchange.

5. Infrastructure & Cloud

- Manage servers, databases, hosting and cloud infrastructure.
- Monitor system and application performance.
- Ensure regular backups and disaster-recovery processes.
- Coordinate with cloud/hosting service providers.
- Ensure infrastructure scalability as business volumes grow.
- Optimize infrastructure performance and costs.

6. Cybersecurity & Data Protection

- Implement appropriate security controls for applications and infrastructure.
- Manage user access and permissions.
- Monitor vulnerabilities and technical risks.
- Ensure secure handling of customer and business data.
- Coordinate resolution of security incidents.
- Ensure regular backup and recovery procedures.

7. Technical Team Management

- Lead developers, software engineers, IT support and other technical resources.
- Allocate tasks and monitor project progress.
- Conduct performance reviews.
- Mentor and develop team members.
- Participate in technical recruitment.
- Establish clear ownership and accountability within the team.
- Build a culture of quality, collaboration and continuous improvement.

8. Project Management

- Convert business requirements into technical project plans.
- Define scope, timelines, resources and dependencies.
- Track project progress and identify risks.
- Coordinate with Sales, Finance, Purchase, Operations, Logistics, MIS and other departments.
- Manage multiple technology projects simultaneously.
- Provide regular project updates to management.

Technical Support & System Monitoring

- Monitor applications, databases, APIs, servers and critical services.
- Ensure timely resolution of business-critical technical issues.
- Establish escalation and incident-management processes.
- Analyze recurring issues and implement permanent solutions.
- Provide technical support to internal teams.

10. Automation & Technology Improvement

- Identify manual processes that can be automated.
- Implement automation to improve business efficiency.
- Explore practical applications of AI, analytics and automation.
- Automate repetitive reporting, data processing and monitoring activities.
- Continuously identify opportunities for technology-driven process improvement.

Required Qualifications

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in software development, IT or technology management.
- 3-5 years of experience in managing or leading technical teams.
- Strong experience with web applications and e-commerce platforms.
- Experience with APIs, databases, cloud infrastructure and system integrations.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and software project management.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
