Job Summary

The purpose of the position is to utilize knowledge to develop innovative, technically sound and cost-efficient packaging solutions for new motive battery charger electronics. The individual is an energetic qualified who can work both individually and with a team.

Job Duties

- Design packages and enclosures ( Sheet metal ) for power electronic circuits. Support the product line from concept to production.
- Create manufacturing documentation ( Complete Pre-Quote and Final design packets including Fixture Tooling designs, Component Assembly drawings along with Bills of Material product routings.)
- Analyze methods and suppliers for cost reductions on assemblies and equipment
- Document designs so they can be adequately manufactured within the time and budget targets
- Coordinate prototype build; re-asses manufacturing options

Required Skills and Education





- Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering;
- 4 to 6 years of experience in a development team
- Experience packaging power electronic circuits and industrialization
- Experience using Solidworks package
- Good verbal and written communication skills

Desirable Skills

- Experience doing thermal/cooling calculations
- Working knowledge of electrical interconnect technologies including cable and harness, connectors, power distribution and signal interconnects
