An Academic Coordinator bridges school leadership, teaching sta, and students to ensure
high educational standards, eective curriculum delivery, and smooth day-to-day academic
operations.
Role Overview

Job Title: Academic Coordinator
Reports To: Principal / Vice Principal / Academic Dean
Department: Academic Aairs / School Administration
Key Responsibilities
Curriculum & Instructional Leadership

Design, evaluate, and update curriculum plans and syllabus structures in line with
board/university standards.

Monitor teaching methodologies to ensure eective learning outcomes in classrooms.
Select appropriate textbooks, learning materials, and digital teaching tools.
Teacher Mentorship & Supervision

Conduct regular classroom observations and provide constructive feedback to
educators.
Organize career development workshops, training modules, and teaching
orientation programs.
Assist in sta scheduling, subject allocations, and substitute teacher planning.
Academic Operations & Assessment

Oversee examination planning, timetables, grading rubrics, and report card distribution.




Analyze student performance data to identify learning gaps and implement remedial
programs.

Ensure institutional compliance with educational board regulations and accreditation
standards.

Parent & Student Communication

Address parent concerns regarding student academic progress, curriculum changes, or
behavioral policies.

Lead parent-teacher conferences and academic orientation sessions.
Qualications & Requirements

Education: Masters degree in Education (M.Ed), Educational Leadership, or a relevant
academic discipline (Master's preferred; Bachelor's with extensive experience
required),(B.ED) Bachelor of education degree preferred.

Experience: 56 years of classroom teaching experience, along with 2+ years in an
administrative or leadership capacity.
Key Skills: Curriculum planning, team leadership, data analysis, conict resolution, and
strong verbal/wrien communication.
Languages should able to speak
