The Role

- We are looking for an exceptional SDE-III to join our core engineering team. In this role, you will be a technical leader responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the architecture of our enterprise-level real-time communication platform.
- You are a true full-stack engineer with a strong bias toward mobile development. You have deep expertise in the Node.js / Nest.js ecosystem and a proven track record of building scalable, low-latency applications using WebSockets and WebRTC. You will not only write high-quality code but also mentor junior engineers and drive technical decisions that shape the future of our product.

Key Responsibilities

- Architect & Develop: Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure full-stack solutions with a focus on real-time features (messaging, voice/video calls, live notifications) using TypeScript, Node.js, Nest.js, and React Native.
- Real-Time Systems & State Management: Build and maintain high-performance WebSocket servers for bidirectional communication and integrate WebRTC solutions for peer-to-peer audio/video streaming. Leverage Redis for managing real-time presence, pub/sub messaging, and caching to reduce latency.
- Offline-First Mobile Development: Architect and implement offline-first experiences in React Native. This includes designing local database synchronization strategies, handling optimistic UI updates, and managing complex conflict resolution when network connectivity is restored.
- Background Processing:



Design and implement resilient job scheduling and background task systems (e.g., using BullMQ with Redis, Agenda, or similar) to handle asynchronous operations like notification delivery, media processing, and data cleanup.
- Database Management: Design effective data models and write complex queries for MongoDB, ensuring data consistency and high availability in a real-time context.
- Code Quality & Best Practices: Write clean, maintainable, and testable TypeScript code. Champion the use of Git best practices, including code reviews, branching strategies, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Problem Solving: Tackle complex technical challenges, from debugging race conditions in WebSocket connections to optimizing database performance under heavy load.
- Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration.

Required Skills

- Experience: 5+ years of professional software development experience.
- Language Proficiency: Deep expertise in TypeScript is mandatory. You should be comfortable with advanced type systems, generics, and type safety across the full stack.
- Full-Stack Mastery: Strong proficiency in both frontend and backend development.
- Backend: Deep expertise in Node.js and the Nest.js framework (modules, middleware,



dependency injection, microservices).
- Frontend / Mobile: Extensive experience with React Native and its ecosystem (Redux, Context API, Navigation).
- Real-Time Communication: Proven experience designing and maintaining enterprise-level real-time applications. Strong command of WebSockets (Socket.io or raw WebSockets) for low-latency data transfer. Hands-on experience with WebRTC (Peer-to-peer connections, SFUs, TURN/STUN servers).
- Database & Caching: Proficiency in MongoDB(schema design, aggregation pipelines, indexing strategies). Strong experience with Redis for caching, session storage, and pub/ sub mechanisms.
- Offline & Async: Proven experience building offline-first mobile applications, including local storage (SQLite, WatermelonDB, or similar) and sync engines. Experience with job scheduling and message queues (e.g., BullMQ, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS).
- Problem Solving: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to debug complex distributed systems.
- Version Control: Expert knowledge of Git (branching, merging, rebasing, resolving conflicts).

Nice to Have

- Familiarity with TURN / STUN server management (e.g., Coturn).
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), particularly services like ElasticCache(Redis), EC2, or Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of other mobile languages (Kotlin/ Swift) for writing native modules.
