O365 Engineer

Executes Microsoft 365 tenant migrations, mailbox/data migrations, and DNS cutovers for acquired entities, ensuring a seamless transition to the client's collaboration setting.

Reports to: Project Lead / Collaboration Lead

Key Responsibilities

- Plan and execute O365 tenant-to-tenant or cross-forest mailbox migrations
- Manage DNS record changes and cutover sequencing for mail flow, SharePoint, and Teams
- Configure and validate Exchange Online, OneDrive, and SharePoint Online post-migration
- Coordinate migration windows with the Project Lead and affected business units
- Troubleshoot mail flow, licensing, and data migration issues during and after cutover
- Document migration runbooks and rollback procedures




- Support user communication and readiness activities ahead of cutover

Required Qualifications

- 5+ years hands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration and migration tools (e.g., BitTitan, Quest, native O365 tools)
- Strong understanding of Exchange Online, Azure AD/Entra ID, DNS, and mail flow
- Experience with tenant-to-tenant migrations in M&A; or divestiture scenarios

Preferred Qualifications

- Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (or equivalent)
- Experience with hybrid Exchange environments and PowerShell scripting for migration automation
