The organisation operates in the pharma API manufacturing industry, specifically in the life sciences sector.

Job Description

- Lead the API sales and business development function, driving revenue growth, customer acquisition, and market expansion across domestic and international pharmaceutical markets.
- Develop and execute short- and long-term commercial strategies aligned with business, capacity, and profitability objectives.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, generic, CDMO, and contract manufacturing customers
- Drive key account management, commercial negotiations, pricing strategies, supply agreements, and long-term customer partnerships
- Identify current business opportunities, product expansion areas, market-entry strategies, and partnership opportunities across global markets
- Collaborate closely with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, Regulatory, R&D;, and Finance teams to ensure successful commercial execution and customer satisfaction
- Analyze market trends, competitor activity, customer demand,



and portfolio opportunities to support business growth and product strategy decisions

The Successful Applicant

We're looking for someone who has:

- 10-15+ years of experience in API sales, business development, or commercial leadership within the pharmaceutical, API, intermediates, fine chemicals, or CDMO industry
- Proven track record of driving sales growth, managing strategic accounts, and expanding business across domestic and international pharmaceutical markets.
- Strong experience working with generic, innovator, biotechnology, and contract manufacturing customers, with expertise in complex commercial negotiations and long-term supply agreements.
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA preferred.
