Key Responsibilities
Plan and manage SAP release schedules, deployment calendars and release roadmaps
Coordinate major, minor, emergency and maintenance releases
Manage SAP transports across DEV, QA, UAT, Pre-Production and Production
Oversee transport sequencing, dependencies and deployment approvals
Manage SAP ChaRM release cycles and readiness gates
Coordinate with SAP Functional, Technical, Basis, Security, Infrastructure and Business teams
Conduct release planning meetings, CAB reviews and deployment readiness assessments
Identify release risks, dependencies, conflicts and business impacts
Develop rollback and contingency plans for critical releases
Ensure SIT, UAT, Regression and Performance Testing completion before production deployment
Coordinate production deployments, cutovers and post-deployment validation
Support SAP system refreshes, upgrades and migrations
Manage hyper-care activities and ensure environment stability
Maintain release documentation, deployment plans, release notes and audit records
Track release KPIs, success rates, incidents and change effectiveness
Prepare management dashboards and executive reports
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or related discipline
8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years in SAP Release Management
Experience managing enterprise-wide SAP releases across multiple modules
Strong understanding of SAP landscapes and transport mechanisms
Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementation, transformation or support environments
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
Positive to Have
- ITIL Foundation/Intermediate Certification
• SAP Solution Manager / SAP Cloud ALM Certification
• SAP S/4HANA Transformation Program experience
• Global Delivery Environment experience
