Job Description Senior ABAP Consultant

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced SAP ABAP Developer with 3+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in IDocs, Enhancements, and Reports, along with solid knowledge of SAP development standards and integration concepts.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop, enhance, and maintain SAP ABAP applications based on business requirements.
- Develop, configure, monitor, and troubleshoot IDoc interfaces for inbound and outbound integrations.
- Implement various SAP enhancements, including User Exits, Customer Exits, BAdIs, Enhancement Spots, and implicit/explicit enhancements.
- Develop and maintain ABAP reports, including Classical Reports, Interactive Reports, and ALV Reports.
- Analyze functional requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
- Perform debugging, performance tuning, root-cause analysis, and production issue resolution.




- Work closely with functional consultants and business stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
- Follow SAP development standards, coding guidelines, documentation, and transport management processes.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, integration testing, and deployment activities.

Required Technical Skills

- 3+ years of professional experience in SAP ABAP development.
- Strong hands-on experience in:
- IDocs
- Enhancements – BAdIs, User Exits, Customer Exits, Enhancement Framework
- ABAP Reports and ALV

- Strong knowledge of ABAP programming concepts, including:

- Internal Tables
- Work Areas
- Modularization
- Open SQL
- Object-Oriented ABAP
- Exception Handling

- Good understanding of SAP Data Dictionary objects such as Tables, Structures, Data Elements, Domains, and Search Helps.
- Experience with debugging and performance optimization.
- Valuable understanding of SAP integration concepts and interface monitoring.
