Overview of the Role

The Snowflake Senior Technical Lead plays a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing robust data solutions using Snowflake, DBT, SQL, and Python. The position is critical to HCLTech's mission of delivering high-performance, scalable data platforms that enable business insights and drive strategic decision-making. This role involves leading technical teams, optimizing data workflows, and ensuring the successful execution of complex data projects aligned with organizational goals.

Detailed Responsibilities

- Lead and manage technical teams responsible for the development and implementation of Snowflake-based data solutions.
- Design, build, and optimize scalable data models and pipelines utilizing Snowflake and Data Build Tool (DBT) for efficient data processing.
- Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries for data extraction, transformation,



and loading (ETL) processes.
- Utilize Python for scripting, automation, and manipulation of data workflows.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements and ensure the delivery of tailored technical solutions.
- Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor team members to enhance technical capabilities and foster skilled growth.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues promptly to ensure seamless project execution and data integrity.
- Maintain documentation for data architectures, processes, and best practices.

Skill Requirements

- Advanced proficiency in Snowflake for data warehousing and cloud data platforms.
- Extensive experience with DBT (Data Build Tool) for data transformation and modeling.
- Robust command of SQL for database querying and manipulation.
- Proficient in Python programming for scripting, automation, and data processing.
- Demonstrated leadership skills in managing and motivating technical teams to achieve project goals.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and effective communication skills, both technical and non-technical.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Prior experience in leading data engineering or analytics projects in a fast-paced environment.
