GE HealthCare is seeking a senior legal leader to join as Deputy General Counsel – India, with a defined path to succeed the General Counsel and lead the India legal function. The role spans a highly regulated MedTech business, a multi-entity structure including the Wipro GE Healthcare joint venture, and a rapid-moving Indian healthcare policy environment.

We are seeking a seasoned legal leader to join as Senior Legal Counsel – India. The role sits at the intersection of a highly regulated industry, a complex ownership structure and a fast-evolving Indian healthcare policy landscape.

Job Description
What You Will Do
• Commercial: Lead legal support for sales, government tenders,



service agreements and channel partner arrangements across all business units; support manufacturing and localisation contracts.
• Disputes & Investigations: Own the litigation and arbitration portfolio, panel counsel and spend; lead internal investigations and regulatory inquiries with global Compliance.
• Governance & JV: Advise Indian entity boards under the Companies Act; serve as legal lead on governance and inter-company arrangements; oversee entity compliance.
• Regulatory: Provide authoritative counsel on medical device, pharma diagnostics, AERB, competition, data protection, FEMA, trade, labour and CSR law; anchor the anti-bribery and HCP compliance programme in India.
• Stakeholders: Act as trusted advisor to India leadership; manage regulators, industry bodies, the JV partner and external counsel;
• Leadership: Build and mentor the legal team.
