Role Overview
We're looking for a driven Business Development Manager (2–4 years' experience) to bring in new software projects and grow our client base in India and abroad. This is a full-time, on-site role in Mumbai.
Compensation: Up to ₹40,000 per month (₹4.8 LPA) fixed + performance incentives on projects closed.
Key Responsibilities
• Find and win software development projects on Upwork, Freelancer, LinkedIn and other channels
• Write tailored proposals, bids and estimates together with the technical team
• Generate leads through LinkedIn outreach, cold email and referrals
• Run client calls: understand requirements, pitch our services and negotiate scope and pricing
• Turn leads into signed contracts and keep long-term client relationships going
• Track the pipeline, proposals sent, win rate and revenue in a CRM
• Meet monthly targets for leads, meetings and closed deals
Requirements
• 2–4 years in business development or sales for an IT services or software company
• Hands-on bidding experience on Upwork, Freelancer, Guru or similar platforms (strongly preferred)
• Good understanding of web and mobile app development and the basics of estimating projects
• Excellent written and spoken English, comfortable with international clients
• Robust proposal writing, negotiation and follow-up skills
• Self-motivated, target-driven and organised
Nice to Have
• An existing network of international clients or agency partners
• Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Apollo or CRM tools
• A track record of closing fixed-price and hourly contracts
