AI Architect | Fully Remote | Part time

Sovereign SLM Labs is looking for an experienced AI Architect to lead the end-to-end architecture of secure, scalable, and model-agnostic private AI platforms for enterprise customers. This is a senior, client-facing role for someone who can translate complex business workflows, data-security requirements, governance expectations, and infrastructure constraints into production-ready enterprise AI systems.

What you will work on:
• Private and governed enterprise AI platforms
• Secure RAG and AI orchestration architectures
• SLM, LLM, specialist-model, and model-routing strategies
• On-premises, private-cloud, hybrid, VPC, and air-gapped deployments
• Enterprise integrations across APIs, databases, identity platforms, document repositories, and workflow systems
• AI governance, auditability, source traceability, human oversight, monitoring, and security controls
• Reusable reference architectures, accelerators, and technical playbooks

What we’re looking for:
• 10–15 years of overall technology experience
• 5+ years in AI,



machine learning, data, cloud, platform, or enterprise architecture
• 2+ years designing production GenAI, LLM, SLM, RAG, or AI orchestration systems
• Experience leading enterprise discovery, solution architecture, design reviews, and customer implementations
• Strong understanding of enterprise security, governance, GPU infrastructure, Kubernetes, model serving, and distributed systems
• Ability to communicate complex architecture clearly to both executive and engineering stakeholders
