About the Role
We're looking for a React-focused senior frontend engineer to join our product engineering team building a SaaS platform for a leading US-based K-12 education technology company. The role is roughly 70% React and 30% Angular. You'll contribute to active feature development on the current Angular application and play a lead role in an upcoming Angular-to-React migration, helping define the approach, patterns, and standards the team will follow.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance UI features using React 18+ and TypeScript
• Architect and manage application state with Redux / Redux Toolkit, including async data flows and API integration
• Contribute to ongoing feature development and maintenance on the existing Angular 17+ application
• Lead the technical planning and execution of the Angular-to-React migration: assess the current codebase, define a phased migration approach,
establish reusable components and coding standards, and mentor developers through the transition
• Build reusable component libraries and shared UI patterns across the product
• Ensure the application meets performance, accessibility (WCAG), security, and cross-browser standards
• Write unit and integration tests and participate actively in code reviews
• Work with product owners, UX designers, backend engineers, and QA in an Agile/Scrum setup, with some overlap with US time zones for client collaboration
Must-Have Skills: React (Primary, ~70%)
• 4+ years building production applications with React.js, including React 18+ (hooks, functional components, Suspense, concurrent features)
• Strong expertise in Redux / Redux Toolkit (middleware, selectors, RTK Query or equivalent)
• Solid proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS
• Experience with React Router, form hand
