I’m looking for a sharp, commercially minded person to work closely with me on a confidential legal-business-development initiative.
This is not a conventional legal role and it is not a telecalling job.
The work involves:
• Monitoring significant developments in litigation, enforcement, M&A;, corporate disputes and regulatory matters
• Identifying situations where senior legal intervention may genuinely be relevant
• Researching the key people and companies involved
• Making carefully targeted, professional first-contact calls
• Having an intelligent preliminary conversation with the prospect
• Separating genuine interest from routine enquiries
• Bringing only qualified opportunities to me for substantive discussion
You do not need to be a practising lawyer.
A legal background is useful, but I am particularly interested in someone who combines:
Legal/business understanding + excellent communication + commercial instinct + confidence on the telephone.
You should be comfortable speaking with founders, promoters, senior executives, investors,



professionals and high-net-worth individuals.
You should also be able to read a legal/business development quickly, understand what actually matters, and explain it naturally without sounding like a salesperson.
This is a high-trust, high-discretion role. Confidentiality, judgment and professional conduct are essential.
I am looking for someone who can essentially operate as the first human layer of a senior legal business-development desk: technology finds the opportunities; you determine whether there is a real human prospect; I handle the substantive legal engagement.
Location is flexible for the right person.
