Job Purpose
To design and develop BIW (Body in White) structural components using CATIA V5 and support automotive body structure development projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop BIW structural components using CATIA V5 .
- Create and modify 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings as per design requirements.
- Work on automotive BIW/body structure, sheet metal and related components .
- Perform design modifications based on engineering requirements and customer inputs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams such as Manufacturing, CAE, Tooling and Quality.
- Ensure designs meet required quality, feasibility, dimensional and manufacturing standards .
- Support design reviews, issue resolution and engineering change activities.




- Maintain design data and documentation in Teamcenter/PLM systems.

Required Skills
- Strong hands-on experience in CATIA V5 .
- Experience in BIW Structure Design / Automotive Body Design .
- Knowledge of sheet metal design and automotive engineering .
- Good understanding of 3D modelling, assembly and 2D drafting .
- Experience with Teamcenter / PLM is preferred.
- Valuable communication and problem-solving skills.

Educational Qualification
BE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical, Automobile, Production or related engineering discipline.
Candidate Profile
- 3–8 years of relevant experience in BIW / Automotive Design.
- Candidates with experience in automotive OEMs or engineering service companies will be preferred.
- Should be comfortable working in a project-based engineering environment.
