JOB DESCRIPTION – PURCHASE EXECUTIVE

Position: Purchase Executive

Reporting To: Purchase Manager / Management

Job SummaryWe are looking for a Purchase Executive to manage day-to-day procurement activities, vendor coordination, purchase orders, material availability, and timely delivery of required materials at competitive prices.

- Key ResponsibilitiesIdentify and evaluate suitable suppliers and vendors.
- Obtain quotations, compare prices, and negotiate commercial terms.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) after obtaining necessary approvals.
- Coordinate with vendors regarding price, quality, quantity, delivery schedules, and payment terms.
- Follow up on pending purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Maintain purchase records, vendor details, quotations, and related documents.
- Coordinate with Stores, Production, Accounts, and other departments regarding material requirements.




- Verify material requirements and ensure procurement as per approved specifications.
- Monitor vendor performance, quality, delivery, and service.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with existing and new suppliers.
- Support cost reduction and procurement improvement initiatives.
- Resolve issues related to shortages, damaged materials, incorrect supplies, and delayed deliveries.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
- Prepare regular purchase reports and provide updates to management.
- Required SkillsGood knowledge of purchase and procurement processes.
- Strong vendor negotiation and communication skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and ERP/software systems.
- Ability to compare quotations and analyze prices.
- Good follow-up and coordination skills.
