# Fire Fighting Site Engineer – Job Description

### Experience

**3–8 Years** in Fire Fighting Project Execution

*Experience in Airport Fire Fighting Projects will be preferred.*

### Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise and execute firefighting installation works at project sites as per approved drawings and specifications.

2. Read, understand, and implement **firefighting drawings, layouts, and shop drawings** at site.

3. Handle installation of **fire hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump, piping, valves, water spray, and other firefighting systems**.

4. Ensure work is executed as per approved drawings, BOQ, specifications, and project schedule.

5. Coordinate with Project Engineers, Project Managers, consultants, clients, and other contractors.

6. Prepare and submit **Daily Progress Reports (DPR)** with regular morning and evening updates.

7. Ensure proper **material availability, allocation, and utilization** at site.

8. Coordinate with the client for **material inspection and approval** along with datasheets, test certificates, and other required documents.

9. Arrange and allocate manpower/labour according to work priorities and available work fronts.

10. Monitor daily manpower productivity and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.

11. Coordinate and obtain required **work permits** and ensure proper permit closure.

12. Conduct site measurements and coordinate for **client-signed measurements** required for billing.

Support the Project Engineer/Manager in monthly **measurement, billing, and invoicing** activities.

14. Attend site meetings with clients/consultants and provide updates regarding project progress and site requirements.

15. Identify site issues, technical requirements, and material shortages and report them to the Project Manager.

16. Ensure proper housekeeping and maintain discipline at the project site.

17. Follow all **safety rules, PPE requirements, work permits, and client safety regulations**.

18. Ensure safety of workers and report unsafe conditions immediately.

19. Coordinate testing, flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning activities of firefighting systems.

20. Maintain proper records of site activities, materials, manpower, measurements, and completed works.

### Required Skills

* Positive knowledge of **Fire Fighting System Installation & Execution**

* Ability to read and understand **Fire Fighting Drawings**

* Knowledge of **Hydrant & Sprinkler Systems**

* Knowledge of Fire Pump Room and associated piping

* Manpower and subcontractor handling

* Client/Consultant coordination

* DPR and site documentation

* Material planning and site management

* Knowledge of site safety procedures

* Good communication and coordination skills

* Disciplined and proactive approach

### Preferred Qualification

**ITI / Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech** in Mechanical, Fire & Safety, Civil, or relevant engineering discipline.

### Preferred Experience

Experience in **Airport, Industrial, Commercial, Hospital, Infrastructure, or Large-Scale Fire Fighting Projects** will be an advantage.
