Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Quality Assurance Engineer with 5+ years of experience in Manual Testing, API Testing, and Message Queue (MQ) validation. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in the Capital Markets domain, along with hands-on expertise in Python and Selenium automation. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of mission-critical financial applications through comprehensive testing strategies and automation solutions.
What You Will Be Doing
• Analyze business and functional requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases.
• Perform end-to-end Manual Testing for web-based and distributed applications.
• Validate message processing through IBM MQ or equivalent Message Queue technologies.
• Design, execute, and maintain API test cases using tools such as Postman, Swagger, or REST Assured.
• Participate in requirement reviews, defect triage meetings, and release planning activities.
• Develop and maintain automation frameworks using Python and Selenium WebDriver.
• Create reusable automation scripts and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.
• Investigate defects, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate with development teams for resolution.
• Ensure test coverage across functional, integration, system, and regression testing phases.
• Validate trade lifecycle workflows and market data processing within Capital Markets applications.
• Prepare test execution reports, quality metrics, and release sign-off documentation.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA best practices and process improvements.
Required Qualifications
Testing
• Strong experience in Manual Testing.
• Experience in Functional, Integration, System, and Regression Testing.
• Hands-on experience with Defect Management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.
API Testing
• Robust knowledge of REST APIs.
