Modern Checkout is pioneering the future of frictionless travel commerce by developing a brand and product line agnostic checkout platform for Expedia Brands including Hotels.com and Vrbo. The Checkout Engineering organization enables one of the most critical steps in a traveler’s journey. Once a user selects their ideal trip,



it is Checkout team job to make their booking smooth, highly secure, and effortless. By decoupling the transaction layer from individual brand architectures and specific travel products (flights, hotels, car rentals), Modern Checkout delivers a unified, highly adaptable payment experience. This strategic evolution simplifies the path to purchase, accelerates global scaling, and empowers Expedia to deploy seamless, hyper-localized checkout flows across its entire portfolio with unprecedented agility.
