Pest Control Technician duties and responsibilities

The primary responsibility of a Pest Control Technician is to detect and eliminate unwelcome pests from homes and businesses. Specific Pest Control Technician job duties include:

--Conducting thorough interior and exterior inspections to locate dangerous, destructive or annoying pests

--Offering sound advice on both chemical and natural pest control remediation options

--Providing estimates for one-time treatments and continual maintenance

--Setting traps for rodents

--Spraying perimeters of homes and structures for termites, ants, cockroaches and other insects

--Safely and efficiently removing wasp, hornet and bee nests

--Strategically positioning bait pellets to eliminate rats and mice

--Covering holes and cracks with foam, mesh and wood to hinder rodent and insect entry

--Recommending additional products and services for effective pest control requirements: 10th/12th qualification, willingness to travel locally, basic communication skills, on-the-job training and driving licence
