Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable General Duty Assistant (GDA)/ Nurse Assistant (NA) to provide high-quality home care support to patients in their residences. The ideal candidate will assist with daily living activities, ensure patient comfort, and support overall well-being under the guidance of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting
• Help with mobility, transfers, and basic exercises as advised by healthcare staff
• Monitor and record vital signs (if trained) and report any changes in patient condition
• Support medication reminders (as per guidelines; no administration unless certified)
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the patient’s workplace
• Assist with meal preparation and feeding, ensuring dietary requirements are met
• Provide companionship and emotional support to patients




• Follow care plans and instructions from nurses or supervisors
• Ensure patient safety at all times

Qualifications

• Certification in General Duty Assistant (GDA) / Nursing Assistant or relevant training

Required Skills

• Previous experience in home care or hospital settings preferred
• Basic knowledge of patient care and hygiene practices
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to handle patients with patience and empathy
• Physically fit to assist with lifting and mobility tasks
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends if required

Preferred Skills

• First aid and basic life support (BLS) training
• Experience with elderly or chronic illness care
