We are looking for a qualified, detail-oriented Registered Pharmacist to oversee day-to-day dispensing operations, provide patient counseling, and ensure full compliance with drug control regulations and pharmacy standards. The successful candidate will verify prescriptions, manage inventory, counsel customers on proper drug usage and potential side effects, and maintain accurate pharmacy records.
Key Responsibilities
Prescription Review & Dispensing: Accurately read, interpret, and verify written and digital prescriptions from authorized medical practitioners. Screen for drug interactions, dosage errors, contraindications, and therapeutic duplication before dispensing.
Patient Counseling: Educate patients and caregivers on medication directions, storage requirements, dosage schedules, side effects, and potential food/drug interactions.
Inventory & Stock Management:
Monitor stock levels, track shelf life, and systematically segregate near-expiry and expired stock.
Ensure appropriate cold chain and specialized storage conditions for vaccines, insulins, and temperature-sensitive biologicals.
Assist with vendor purchase orders,
positive-received notes (GRN), and physical stock reconciliation.
Regulatory Compliance & Record-Keeping:
Ensure full compliance with Pharmacy Council regulations, drug control laws, and local retail licensing requirements.
Maintain mandated registers (Schedule H, H1, X/narcotics records, and physician prescription records) with complete audit readiness.
Billing & Point of Sale: Operate retail billing software (e.g., Marg, Medvision, or equivalent), generate accurate GST tax invoices, manage payments, and balance cash/digital registers at shift close.
Store Operations & Customer Service: Maintain a clean, organized, and professional pharmacy counter. Guide customers on OTC wellness items, first aid, and basic healthcare supplies.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education: Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharm) or Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized, Pharmacy Council-approved institution.
Licensure: Valid and active Registered Pharmacist certificate / license issued by the State Pharmacy Council (mandatory).
