Assistant Service Manager, Honda BigWing Workshop

Location: Kolkata | Reports to: Service Manager | Experience: 3–6 years in two-wheeler service

Role Summary

Support the Service Manager in running day-to-day workshop operations for premium Honda motorcycles. Make sure every bike is serviced to Honda standards, delivered on time, and leaves behind a satisfied customer.

- Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily workshop flow: vehicle intake, job card creation, technician allocation, and timely delivery.
- Make sure all services and repairs follow HMSI processes, SOPs and BigWing brand standards.
- Run quality checks and road tests before delivery to keep repeat repairs to a minimum.
- Handle customer concerns, explain work done and estimates, and escalate complex issues when needed.
- Manage warranty claims, documentation and coordination with the HMSI area service team.
- Work with the parts department on availability of spares, accessories and consumables.
- Track workshop KPIs, including CSI, turnaround time, workshop loading, labour and parts revenue,



and repeat-job ratio.
- Guide and train technicians, and support their Honda certification and skill development.
- Maintain workshop hygiene, safety norms, tools and equipment upkeep.
- Keep service records accurate in the DMS and share daily and monthly MIS reports.
- Requirements
- Diploma or B.E. in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering.
- 3–6 years in two-wheeler service, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience with premium or large-capacity motorcycles (300cc+) is preferred.
- Strong technical diagnosis skills and familiarity with EFI and electronic systems.
- Valuable communication in English and the local language, with a customer-first attitude.
- Working knowledge of DMS and MS Excel.
- Passion for motorcycles; a two-wheeler licence is required.
