Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Vice President – Engineering to lead the technology strategy and engineering function for our crypto and financial technology business.
The ideal candidate should have robust expertise in Web2, backend/full-stack product development, fintech/banking technology, with a practical understanding of Web3, blockchain, cryptocurrency and digital wallets. Should have experience in leading 3-15 membered team.
Key Responsibilities
* Define and drive the overall technology strategy, architecture and product roadmap.
* Lead the development and scaling of digital wallets, money transfer, cryptocurrency transactions and financial products.
* Design secure, scalable and highly available backend, microservices and transaction-processing systems.
* Architect and oversee financial ledgers, transaction management and reconciliation systems.
* Drive integrations with banks, payment networks,
financial institutions and third-party fintech providers through secure APIs.
* Establish strong engineering practices around security, scalability, reliability, DevOps, CI/CD and system performance.
* Lead and mentor engineering, architecture, DevOps and QA teams.
* Work closely with the CEO, Product, Business, Compliance and Operations teams to translate business requirements into technology solutions.
* Manage technology budgets, vendors, technical risks and overall technology delivery.
Required Experience & Skills
* 15+ years of technology/engineering experience with significant leadership experience.
* Strong Backend and/or Full-Stack engineering background.
* Strong experience with Java, JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, React.js and modern backend technologies.
* Experience with microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems, event-driven architectures and scalable application design.
