Job Description – Finance Controller
Location - Bangalore

About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and hands-on Finance Controller to build and manage the finance controllership function for a rapid-growing stock broking business. The role requires strong technical accounting expertise, excellent knowledge of Indian regulatory and tax compliances, and the ability to establish scalable finance processes and internal controls.
The ideal candidate should have prior experience in a broking, fintech, or regulated financial services environment and should be comfortable working in a high-growth startup ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Controllership
● Own end-to-end accounting and bookkeeping activities.
● Ensure accurate and timely accounting of all financial transactions in compliance with Ind AS.
● Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close processes.
● Prepare standalone financial statements and supporting schedules.
● Assist in consolidation of group financial statements.
● Maintain the general ledger and chart of accounts.




● Review journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet schedules.
● Ensure proper accounting for prepaid expenses, fixed assets, depreciation, and amortization.
Accounts Payable (AP)
● Manage the complete procure-to-pay process.
● Review vendor onboarding documentation including GST, PAN, bank details, MSME declarations, and statutory requirements.
● Verify invoices for accounting accuracy and tax compliance.
● Process vendor payments in accordance with approval matrices.
● Perform vendor reconciliations and resolve outstanding issues.
● Implement controls to prevent duplicate invoices and duplicate payments. Accounts Receivable (AR)
● Manage customer invoicing and collections.
● Monitor receivables and ageing reports.
● Perform customer reconciliations.
