Role Summary
We are looking for a Validation Engineer with strong debugging expertise to validate system functionality, identify defects, perform root cause analysis, and ensure product quality across hardware, firmware, and software components.
The role requires hands-on validation, issue reproduction, and close collaboration with development teams to drive defect resolution and product reliability. Based on internal debug and validation role descriptions.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute validation test plans and test cases.
• Perform system-level, platform-level, and component-level validation.
• Debug hardware, firmware,
and software issues and conduct root cause analysis.
• Reproduce customer and field-reported issues in lab environments.
• Analyze logs, traces, crash dumps, and telemetry data.
• Identify, track, and verify defect fixes.
• Develop automated validation and debug tools using scripting languages.
• Collaborate with development, firmware, and hardware teams to improve product quality.
• Document validation results, failure analysis findings, and test reports.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in Validation, Testing, Debug, or Quality Engineering.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, CPU, Memory, Storage, Networking, and Firmware.
• Experience with Linux/Windows environments and debugging tools.
• Experience in SQL.
• Robust analytical and problem-solving skills.
