Position Overview
The portfolio lead – motor underwriting will be responsible for monitoring growth and profitability of Motor line of business, actively managing portfolio performance, and driving strategic initiatives to increase market share.

Role and Responsibilities
• Monitor growth and profitability of Motor line of business.
• To execute central level strategies and Conduct competition benchmarking for growth and profitability
• Deep mine opportunities and strategize as per central guidelines
• Actively manage portfolio by sharing insights and taking decisions to weed out non-preferred business.
• Devise Tech based solutions and work towards recent generation products.
• Analyze and manage channel-wise and overall P&L; for Motor line of business.




• Formulate strategies to increase market share.
• Share various reports with senior management on portfolio performance.

Education & Experience requirements
• Minimum 8-12 years in General Insurance with exposure to Motor portfolio/underwriting management.
• Strong understanding of P&L; management and strategic planning.

• Advanced Excel, PowerPoint
• Working knowledge of R/Python/SAS
• Understanding of Actuarial Science
