We are looking for a strong, hands-on HR leader who can build people, strengthen performance and create a high-accountability organisation.
We are seeking an experienced HRD / Senior HR Executive who can take ownership of the complete employee lifecycle — from onboarding and training through to performance management, development and appraisals.
The ideal candidate will be a people-oriented but performance-driven HR skilled, with strong communication skills, excellent follow-through and the ability to work closely with management and employees at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
1. Employee Onboarding & Integration
- Develop and manage a structured onboarding process for all new employees.
- Ensure new employees understand the company's culture, values, policies, responsibilities and performance expectations.
- Follow up with employees and their managers during the initial months to ensure successful integration.
- Establish clear 30/60/90-day onboarding and performance milestones.
2. Training & Employee Development
- Identify training and development needs across departments.
- Develop and coordinate structured training programs for employees at different levels.
- Maintain individual training records and monitor the effectiveness of training.
- Track employee progress following training and ensure that learning is translated into improved performance.
- Work with departmental heads to identify employees with high potential and develop appropriate career-development plans.
3. Performance Management & Appraisals
- Build a robust and objective performance-management system.
- Establish clear KPIs and measurable performance objectives for employees.
- Maintain regular performance tracking throughout the year rather than relying only on annual appraisals.
- Ensure managers conduct meaningful performance reviews and provide regular feedback.
- Identify performance gaps early and work with managers and employees on improvement plans.
- Drive a structured annual appraisal process and ensure that appraisals are evidence-based and properly documented.
- Help management identify and reward high performers while addressing underperformance appropriately.
4. Employee Engagement & Retention
- Develop initiatives that improve employee engagement, motivation and retention.
- Maintain regular communication with employees and understand their concerns.
- Conduct employee feedback and engagement initiatives and convert feedback into actionable improvements.
- Help create a culture of accountability, recognition and continuous development.
5. HR Systems & Processes
- Establish and maintain clear HR policies, procedures and documentation.
- Maintain accurate employee records and HR dashboards.
- Develop meaningful HR metrics covering recruitment, onboarding, training, performance, absenteeism, retention and employee development.
- Provide management with regular reports and insights on people-related matters.
6. HR Business Partnership
- Work closely with senior management and departmental heads as a strategic HR partner.
- Support managers in recruitment, team building, performance management and employee development.
- Act as a strong bridge between management and employees.
- Bring structure, discipline and consistency to HR practices across the organisation.
The Person We Are Looking For
The successful candidate should have:
- Strong experience in HR leadership, preferably in a growing or professionally managed organisation.
- Demonstrated experience in employee onboarding, training, performance management and appraisals.
- Strong understanding of how to track employee performance and development throughout the year.
- Experience in establishing KPIs, KRAs and measurable performance objectives.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The confidence to work with senior management as well as employees at all levels.
- A practical, hands-on approach — someone who will drive implementation rather than simply create HR policies.
- Strong organisational and follow-up skills.
- The ability to identify potential, develop people and build a strong internal talent pipeline.
- High levels of integrity, maturity and confidentiality.
What We Expect From This Role
We are looking for someone who can move HR from being primarily administrative to being a genuine driver of organisational performance.
The person should be able to answer three important questions about every employee:
1. Have we onboarded and trained this person properly?
2. Are we continuously tracking and developing their performance?
3. Do we have a clear, objective basis for their appraisal and career progression?
The successful candidate will be expected to establish systems that make these processes structured, measurable and consistent across the organisation.
Experience
10+ years of relevant HR experience, with substantial experience in HR leadership, employee development and performance management.
Experience in a manufacturing / textile / industrial / multi-location organisation would be an advantage.
