Reel Editor — Weddings, Stories & SocialAnyone can cut clips. Can you make someone feel something in 30 seconds?A look that lasted half a second.
A father trying not to cry.
A bride walking into a room.
Absolute chaos on a dance floor.
A beat drop at exactly the right moment.
Sometimes the difference between an ordinary reel and one that gets watched again is one frame.
We’re looking for someone who understands that.
What A Story is an international wedding photography & filmmaking brand creating stories across India and the United States.
And we're looking for a Reel Editor with an insane sense of timing.
Not just an editor.
A storyteller who happens to edit.
Your Job?Take hours of beautiful footage and find the 30–60 seconds nobody wants to skip.
You should know how to make someone stop within the first few seconds.
How to build curiosity.
When to cut.
When not to cut.
When the music needs to explode.
And when silence says more than music ever could.
We want reels that feel alive.
Romantic when they need to be.
Wild when the party gets wild.

Elegant when the wedding demands elegance.
Funny when the moment deserves it.
And emotional without becoming predictable.
You Should Understand the Internet. We don't want someone discovering a trending audio three weeks after everyone else.
You should naturally know what's happening on Instagram and the wider short-form video world.
Trending sounds.
Editing styles.
Transitions.
Hooks.
Pacing.
Memes.
Pop culture.
Music.
But here's the important part:
We don't want to chase every trend.
We want someone smart enough to know which trends fit the brand — and which ones to ignore.
Because viral is great.
But viral + beautiful + unmistakably What A Story is better.
What We'd Love You to Be Great AtShort-form storytelling.
Music selection.
Beat sync.
Sound design.
Color and visual continuity.
Speed ramps and transitions — when they actually add something.
Typography and simple motion graphics.
Creating robust opening hooks.
