Job Title: Senior Barista

About the Role

We're looking for an experienced and dependable Senior Barista to join the LATCHA team. In this role, you'll lead by example on the floor delivering consistently excellent drinks and desserts, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, mentoring junior staff, and ensuring smooth caf operations from open to close.

Key Responsibilities

Drink & Dessert Making

- Prepare and quality-check LATCHA's full menu of beverages and desserts to exact recipe and presentation standards
- Operate all caf equipment including espresso machines, blenders, and soft serve units with confidence
- Ensure consistency in flavour, temperature, portioning, and plating across every order following the recipe sheets.
- Support new menu rollouts and seasonal items, and train junior baristas on preparation techniques

Cleaning & Hygiene

- Maintain the bar, equipment, and caf floor to a high standard throughout the shift
- Lead and oversee daily opening and closing cleaning procedures
- Uphold food safety and hygiene standards in line with FSSAI guidelines
- Ensure all equipment is properly cleaned, sanitised, and stored after every shift

Customer Service





- Set the tone for excellent customer interactions warm, informed, and attentive
- Handle complex orders, customisations, and escalated complaints with confidence and composure
- Guide newer team members on service standards and customer-first behaviour
- Act as a point of contact for customers when the manager is unavailable

POS System & Stock Management

- Process orders accurately using the PetPooja POS system and oversee daily cash reconciliation
- Monitor inventory levels across the shift and proactively flag shortages before they impact service
- Assist with stock receiving, labelling, and proper FIFO rotation
- Support the store manager in weekly stock counts and wastage tracking

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 12 years of barista or caf experience, preferably in a specialty Cafes or QSR environment
- Strong command of beverage preparation, equipment handling, and food safety practices
- Leadership mindset — able to guide, support, and motivate a small team on the floor
- Calm under pressure, especially during peak hours and high-volume service
- Comfortable working weekends, public holidays, and split shifts as needed
